Today, at the final concert of the ISCM World Music Days in Wrocław, Poland, the winner of the 2014 ISCM Young Composer Award (supported by Music on Main) was announced.

The International Society for Contemporary Music (ISCM) is pleased to announce that distinguished composers Tomoko Fukui (Japan), Javier Hagen (Switzerland), and Eva Lopszyc (Argentina) have been chosen to serve as the international jury for the 2014 Young Composers Award which is to be held as part of the ISCM World Music Days in Wroclaw, Poland this coming October.

ISCM World Music Days 2014 is now looking for volunteers.

ISCM World Music Days 2015 kindly invites composers to submit scores, projects or installations. Festival takes place in Slovenia from 26 September to 1 October 2015.

During your annual meeting in Wrocław on the 6th October we have scheduled a joint session Forum of future projects together with IAMIC.We would be very interested in hearing about your future projects, activities and programs. Please consider presenting to us any projects you may be planning and you would like to share with others.

The day before the start of the festival there will be held a meeting with the composer Peter Eötvös.

We are pleased to inform you that the Qualifying Review for musical bands composing at schools and at out-of-school institutes has been resolved.

The Festival will begin with the celebration of International Music Day. From 3rd to 6th of October we will present the most exciting young bands that compose at schools and at community centres of Wrocław. The repertoire will consist only of the new music composed during the last three years.

There are two contests organized within ISCM World Music Days 2014. The musical event review contest, and the film proving that music is everywhere contest.
